Electoral Roll

What is the Electoral Roll?

The Electoral Roll is the Church of England’s official register of the number of people who worship at East Church and determines the number of representatives we have at Deanery Synod. It is a way of saying ‘I belong’ — it’s an act of commitment to the local church and to the Church as a whole. It also enables you to vote at our annual church meeting (the APCM).

If you consider yourself a member of East Church and are eligible to join, we would encourage you to complete an application form.

To be on the East Church Electoral Roll you need to have worshipped at the church regularly for at least the last six months and/or be a parish resident, be baptised and at least 16 years old.
